The Troop had a great time at Harmonie State Park this weekend!  The weather was great for camping, with cool nights and warm spring days.  The new recruits earned their Totin' and Firem'n Chits and even took their first 5-mile hike!  The older boys carried a full-size backpack for the first time, and learned a little bit about lightweight camping, food prepration and health on the trail. 

Everyone also got to demonstrate their new first aid & rescue skills when Mr. Herdegen sprained his ankle, Mr. Mayo suffered from heat exhaustion, and poor Mr. Gibson got lost in the woods while taking a potty break.  Throw in jokes and stories around the campfire, games of "Capture the Flag" and "Kick the Can," and a few rounds of "War" with a deck of cards, and the boys enjoyed themselves quite a bit!
